Join us this month for an engaging panel discussion with affordable housing developers and construction leaders working across Nevada. Through an open, conversational format, panelists will share insights from the field, discuss trends shaping the industry, and highlight the opportunities and challenges of developing and building affordable housing in today’s market. The discussion will also explore where the industry may be headed over the next 3–5 years and what it will take to continue meeting Nevada’s growing housing needs.

You will hear from:

  • Brian Arbogast, Director of Pre-Construction at Metcalf Builders. Founded in 1994, Metcalf Builders is a Reno-based general contractor specializing in commercial construction and construction management. They are currently working on multiple affordable housing projects across the state, in various stages of development, including Marble Manor in Las Vegas and Line Drive Apartments in Reno.

  • Austin Kates, Vice President of Development at The NRP Group, The NRP Group has been developing market rate and affordable housing for 30 years and are the #1 multifamily developer in the U.S. that creates both affordable and market rate communities at scale. Currently serving 17 markets, they began work in Nevada 3 years ago, recently celebrating the groundbreaking of North & Valley in North Las Vegas and now working on a new senior project in southern Las Vegas.  

  • Brian Moloney, Senior Director of Development at Lincoln Avenue Communities. Lincoln Avenue Communities is one of the largest affordable housing developers in the country, currently service 30 states.  Pinyon Apartments in Reno is their first project in Nevada and they are currently exploring a project in Fernley.

  • David Paull, Executive Vice President at George Gekakis, Inc. George Gegakis, Inc. has been developing affordable housing in Las Vegas since 1995. They recently celebrated the ribbon cutting of West Sahara Senior Living and are in the final phases of McKnight Senior Village, expected to open this summer.  George Gekakis is also working on Tropicana Trails, a permanent supportive housing project in Clark County.

This session is designed to be an interactive conversation. Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions for the panelists.
